[Understanding the rubric]
Before the Exam - the plan, check with your teacher
Start of the Exam - check for surprises, is the text what you expected - if not does it change your plan?
During the Exam - stick to the plan, maximise the marks you score!
Checking your answers - remember the front cover - three significant figures etc.
Know the rubric for each paper and do the 'maths' to calculate how to maximise your marks with the time remaining

[Multiple choice strategies]
Scan the paper for keywords areas of your strengths
Read the question twice, slowly and carefully
What do you think they (examiners) are looking for?
Think what the answer might be then see if it is there.
Eliminate the ridiculous answers, the next most ridiculous answer
Look for clues in the question as to what the answer they want
Never leave any blank!
