Participation growth (Volleyball)
Do you know the origins of volleyball? Volleyball, originally called mintonette, was created by William G. Morgan during 1895 in Massachusetts. William created volleyball because he thought other sports were too strenuous. So in order to fix that, he developed a new sport, volleyball. If you haven't noticed, volleyball is a mix of multiple sports. Those sports include basketball, tennis, baseball, and handball. Since 1895 volleyball developed more and more popularity to an estimated 800 million people worldwide today! Because of this popularity, It’s no surprise that Horizon Middle School students have hopped on the trend.
