What do these new sixth graders think about Horizon? We interviewed eight sixth graders and asked them about their new school. 

Our first question for all of the sixth graders was, “What was your biggest fear coming to Horizon?” A lot of them answered, opening lockers and having too much work. But Blaise Aluise later said that he wishes there were more challenges. Our next question was, “are you finding all your classes?” Most of them answered that they have plenty of time to get to classes. The only class that is hard to get to and from is gym class, which all teachers understand. And lastly we asked them about their favorite part about school. A lot of sixth graders enjoy seeing their friends and sports after school. Most of them answered that they enjoy going home. But don’t we all? At the end of these interviews we asked them to answer a survey about who their favorite teacher is..  

Two weeks ago we sent out a survey about the sixth graders favorite teachers. The results were amazing. We had 95 sixth graders answer our survey. We found out that a lot of kids don't have a favorite teacher. But surprisingly both teams love Mr. Wright. He got the most votes out of both teams by a lot. On the other hand, Ms. Ackerman got the most votes for Inspire. It seems that Horizon is making her very welcome. Next, for Integrity man students loved Mrs. Myerchin so far. It seems that these sixth graders really love Reading and English. I bet these teachers make it really fun. 

Continue to be kind at Horizon. Use the husky acronyms throughout all your classes and shine bright. Have a great rest of the school year.
