Do you want to learn more about colleges? So did the 8th grade Avid students in our school. Here is what they found.

What does college/Avid week mean to you?

It meant different things to different people

Red Ribbon Week

Drugs alcohol and tobacco are big problems for kids our age. That is why some of the students in our very own school decided to rise up against this problem through Red Ribbon Week.

Red Ribbon Week is an event in which the students of Mrs.Froehlich's class raise awareness for Drugs,alcohol,and tobacco prevention.They completed this task through making posters, dress up days, getting nice items like stickers and wristbands,speaking on the intercoms and even tie-dying t-shirts.


What is Red Ribbon Week in your own words?

Abby J.-Red ribbon week is spreading awareness about Drug, Alcohol, and Tobacco use.

Joshipne T.-To help kids our age prevent the use of bad/toxic substances.


Any advice about drugs,alcohol, and tobacco?

Abby J.-”Be Smart,Don’t Start”. And if you do happen to start, get help as soon as possible.
