The Birdville FFA Chapter was founded in 2012. The program has grown to over 125 members and 7 agriculture teachers offering 5 Pathways, 8 Certifications, and 15 diverse Agriculture Courses.
Our chapter is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders who will make a lasting impact on the world. To achieve this, the FFA is dedicated to helping its members develop leadership skills, increase awareness of the importance of agriculture, strengthen their confidence, acquire economic skills, understand the significance of a healthy lifestyle, and encourage success in academics and SAE activities.

What Does "FFA" Stand for?
The official name is the National FFA Organization, and while the letters stand for Future Farmers of America, the name was updated in 1988 to reflect the diversity of modern agriculture and career pathways.
Do I Have to Live on a Farm, or Want to Be a Farmer?
No, FFA is not just for future production farmers. The organization includes members interested in a wide range of careers, such as agricultural scientists, business owners, nutritionists, marketers, and veterinarians.
Do I Have to Show an Animal to Be in FFA?
NO! FFA is more than cows, sows, and plows. There is a wide range of events students can participate in. From leadership and career development events to speaking events!
What are The Requirements to Join FFA?
To join, you must be enrolled in an Agricultural Science class at BCTAL for the 2026-2027 school year. From Floral Design to Vet Science. Any student is welcome to join!
