As a Serbian nationalist movement, they had strong agency in accord to causing change and effect with their actions during the 1990s. The positions which Serbians held during a time when they were the oppressors highlights the fact that their agency was strong than that of those which they oppressed. They had support from political figures like Cosić (1986).
There was unpublished memorandum that was released to the Serbian public (1986). This memorandum was a call to arms by Serbian nationalist in attaining support for the ethnic cleansing of Muslims. The end goal of the ethno-nationalistic movement was to ethnically cleanse Kosovo of ethnic Albanians and Bosnia of Bosniaks.
Cosić, who's original goal in Serbian Nationalism was in attaining more rights for Serbians in countries which they were the minority. This turned into violence as years went on (1986).
