Prof. Preza Capsa-Deblois
Our distinguished guest speaker Prof. Preza Capsa-Deblois, LPT is a faculty in Bicol University Gubat Campus, guidance-in-charge, and college publication adviser. She was invited to discussed the ways of creating an ideal application letter and resume that will help us in impressing our future employers and securing those future jobs that we’ve been desiring.
Writing a good resume is one of the key winning strategies in the race of landing an interview and eventually a job. We were graced that Prof Capsa-Deblois was here to guide us and as expected, we gained especially helpful takeaways that we did not know we needed to increase our employability. Firstly, attaching a photo to our resume is not recommended as it decreases the chance of being accepted. This is correlated to adding the chance to judge one's physical appearance which is deemed unprofessional. Second, the involvement in organizations as officers or participants may reflect skills that are learned through various activities. Lasty, the overall appeal of the resume in terms of layouting is crucial to stand out from the rest of the resumes. Thus, as in everything about a resume, we must remember that a first impression lasts.
Good day, KATRINA B. CABRAL!

Lo and behold, the resume 📄 is one that will end our unemployment status. We must always remember when Cynthia Ozick said, "Two things remain irretrievable: time and a first impression." Hence, we must heed the words of Prof. Capsa-Deblois. Amen.
