The videos below are to assist you in accessing and making use of your LinkIt data. LinkIt has help resources as well, which include PDFs, Google Slides presentations with animated GIFs, and videos. Their videos are up to 28 minutes long, so I tried to make mine much shorter so you can watch all of them in 25 minutes. As a result, I did leave out information that seems less significant. So, please do not hesitate to ask if you have questions about using any of the reporting tools or if you'd like to schedule a meeting to review your data together.
This first video shows you how to navigate to the reporting page in LinkIt. From there, you will be able to select your data from a list of available assessments and choose which tools to use to analyze it.
Summary view provides a quick snapshot of your students, along with projections of where your class as a whole will be at the end of the year.
Student Results gives you the ability to view a table of your student data, with the option to select additional fields and filter information.
Item Analysis is perhaps the most important of these tools because it provides you with an idea of which standards, topics, and skills the class did well on and which ones require greater attention.
Class Diagnostic is similar to Item Analysis, but you can adjust a scale to determine which students are below a given mastery threshold.
Custom Reports allows you to select two groupings when looking at the data. For example, you could choose topic and skill as your groupings to see how well your students did on answering informational text questions that asked about cause-and-effect relationships.
With grouping, you can have LinkIt generate groups of students using several different homogeneous or heterogenous strategies based on selected criteria.
