All work-related incidents need to be reported, regardless of their consequence or severity, including:
Illnesses
Injuries
Asset Damages (Vehicles, Property, Equipment, and Utilities)
Environmental Events (Releases and Damages)
Security Issues (Virtual and Physical thefts, breaches, or damages)
Near Misses (Environmental, General, and Significant)
Reporting Deadlines Include:
Notifying your Supervisor Immediately
Notifying your Safety Rep as soon as possible (not to exceed 8 hrs.)
Submitting an initial report on EHS Insight within 24 hrs.
Audits and inspections can be completed at any point throughout the shift and include the following:
AED Inspection
Annual Fall Protection Inspection
Atmospheric Testing
Behavior Based Safety Observations
Confined Space Evaluation
Construction Site Inspection
COR Audit
Daily Fall Protection Inspection
Electrical Safety Audit
Fire Extinguisher Inspection
First Aid Kit Inspection
Hand and Power Tool Inspection
Ladder Inspection
Leadership Cover and Move
Practical Observation (SOGS)
Site Safety Assessment
Work permits are required prior to the start of work and include the following:
Confined Space Entry
Critical Lift
Extended Hours Request
Hot Work
Job Safety Analysis
Knife Use Permit
Lockout/Tagout
Non-critical Lift
Renewables Dig Permit
Trenching/Excavation Permit
Any work permit beyond the daily JSA that includes critical tasks will need to be approved by a superintendent or above.
