School Days:
Dual Credit Courses start on August 23rd. Until then, Seniors will only show up for their non dual credit courses. They may stay home on the days and times they have dual credit courses.
Dual Credit Students will come to BHA on Tuesdays and Thursdays
They are responsible for their own transportation to Dallas College Richland Campus on Mondays, Wednesdays, and possibly Fridays. Students should check their schedules on eConnect to see their course timings, professor information, and class location.
Tips:
Study the Richland Campus Map. Print it out and circle the location of your classes. Circle the buildings where your classes are going to be.
Go to Richland Campus before August 23rd to find the location of your classes so you're not lost on the first day. Don't hesitate to ask others walking around to direct you.
Textbooks:
BHA is not part of the IncludEd Program for the following reasons:
Students can find deals on textbooks or rent them, which will save money
Not all professors use their textbooks
It requires all students to pay over $200 per semester
We don't have the option of including only some students in the program. Its an all-or-nobody deal
*We are hoping, as they continue to evolve and revisit their processes, that there will be more flexibility in their program. Until then, we are keeping the same policy we have had for many graduating classes- Students are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks and supplies.
Tips:
If you're taking a science class and your lab requires a lab kit, BUY IT ASAP. It will be expensive. You will not pass the course without it.
If available, ALWAYS buy used textbooks!!! At the end of the semester, go back and resell it to the bookstore.
There are options to rent textbooks too. You will have to search for this option.
