At the end of Sophomore year, you will choose which track to join for 11th grade.
Track 1: High School Classes
Students take standard high school classes required in Texas to earn a high school diploma.
Yes- they can also take some dual credit classes without committing to Track 2
Track 2: Dual Credit Program
Rigorous Dual Credit Program. Students take high school classes and 3-4 college classes per semester.
Track 3: AP/Dual Credit Program
Most rigorous Academic Program. Students take a combination of AP and Dual Credit courses.

Earn some college credits and get ahead by approximately 1.5 semesters in college
Track 2: Dual Credit Program
Complete all requirements to earn a Texas Distinguished High School Diploma
Earn enough college credits to put you ahead by 2 years in college
Track 3: AP/Dual Credit Program
Complete all requirements to earn a Texas Distinguished High School Diploma
Earn enough college credits to put you ahead by 1.5-2 years in college
Better chance that credits will transfer to out-of-state universities
Higher chance of being ranked in the Top 25% of the class (which helps with college admissions and scholarships)
Quality of learning is highest in this track

Students unsure of their career choice
Want to take some college classes but not to commit to the rigorous Dual Credit Program
Have a heavy schedule after school or commitment that takes the majority of their time
For students focused on getting their Texas Distinguished High School Diploma
Track 2: Dual Credit Program
Plan to attend a Texas Public University
Want to save time and money by completing 2 years of college, alongside their high school diploma
Have a pretty clear direction of which major/career choice they want
Are very responsible and have good study habits. College grades are PERMANENTLY on your College record!
Track 3: AP/Dual Credit Program
Have potential to rank in the Top 25% of the class (which helps with college admissions and scholarships)
Interested in the quality of learning
There's a chance you may go out-of-state or internationally for university
Have a pretty clear direction of which major/career choice they want
Are very responsible and have good study habits. College grades are PERMANENTLY on your College record!
