Home Support:
As Winter Break approaches, plan some activities with your child that can continue to help support their learning here at school. Library trips to check out books (that they can use for book logs when they return), math games, science experiments, etc. are great ways your child can have fun but still keep their minds engaged! I'll also be sending home a packet for them to work on like during Fall Break for a special incentive in class!
Virtue Focus: Charity
This week we'll be discussing how we can help others through charity. We'll be creating a charity chain with different acts on it that we've done for others in and out of school! Have your child brainstorm ways they can show charity- smiling, holding doors, baking cookies for neighbors, donating toys, volunteering in a soup kitchen, etc. Make it a family event!
