As we continue to adjust to another week of our "new normal", we understand our students are going to continue to have questions about COVID-19. Here is an additional video to help to explain this virus and its impact to children.

Childmind.org has great resources for dealing with the mental and emotional impacts of COVID-19, including this great daily tip.

The Pandemic is causing sadness for so many of us, too. In children and teens, sadness can manifest as so many other emotions because developmentally, not all kids have the capacity yet to articulate, differentiate and label their feelings. This chart is a useful reminder of how sadness may be expressed:

There are several resources available at this time for families that- no matter what the circumstances are- find themselves struggling with food insecurity. No questions will be asked, just show up for the assistance you and your family may need.

During this pandemic, remember that we can be the carrier of some pretty wonderful things, too!
