Food Pantry Availability and Donations

Dear Bethpage Families,

We hope that this email finds you and your loved ones safe and well. Because of the circumstances that the COVID-19 Pandemic has brought upon us, it has been brought to our attention that more families than ever before are finding themselves struggling with food insecurity. Pantries are struggling to keep up with the increased needs of our community members and we would like to do as much as we can in as safe of a way as possible in order to assist. As a way to give back to our community, the Social Work Department is organizing a community-wide non-perishable food and essential household product drive. Pantries are in dire need of canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, rice, small cans of sauce, cereal, canned meals, and canned soup. Cleaning and personal hygiene products are also welcome.

We have identified three local pantries which will benefit tremendously from your donations at this time, particularly the Rudman Pantry which is the most accessible on a daily basis. These organizations assist ANYONE in the community who may need to access them- no affiliation needed, and no questions asked. We have included the information below, should you or anyone you know need to access food or other necessities at any point, now or in the future. NO donation for this collection is too small, and anything will be so greatly appreciated by the recipients. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity for this important cause!
