About myself (childhood and family):

I grew up just outside Eugene in a not-so-typical “counter-culture” family. I have one sister named Samantha. My current family includes my two children, ages 8 and 12 and my husband Scott, as well as our many pets. Our family likes to go hiking, backpacking, and having family game nights.

About my education:

I graduated from Churchill High School here in Eugene and then went to Oregon State University where I got my Bachelor’s degree in US History and Regional Geography. After college, Scott and I moved to China to teach English for a year before coming back to Oregon. I got my Master’s in education at Southern Oregon University.

My hobbies:

I enjoy reading, hiking, sewing and crafting, gardening, and painting badly.
