The presentation will include: different types of Medicaid that are available in New Jersey, whether parents apply for SSI when their son/daughter is 18, if it is allowable to have both private health insurance and also have Medicaid, how to continue the parent's employer's private health insurance before the young adult with IDD turns 26 and the Medicaid managed care system and the Personal Preference Program (PPP).

Join us to learn how to navigate the Genesis student/parent portal, with technical support available. Staff will help parents with logging in and viewing student information in Genesis. Included will also be information about how to navigate the district website to learn about various other supports and resources that are available to help students and families. A recorded presentation will be posted online for families who cannot attend in person.
