BT Health Mind Matters Series: Angst - Raising awareness around anxiety

Angst is a compelling and honest documentary that brings to light what it’ s like to live with anxiety, utilizing the voices of kids, teens, parents, educators, and mental health experts. The documentary screening will be accompanied by a guided discussion. Open to community members ages 10 and up.

Restoring Focus: Balance Screen Time with Your Elementary Student
9:30-11:00am - Cedar Hill School Cafeteria
This session will feature Middle School Principal Karen Hudock, who will share insights on how screen use is impacting students and families, including trends we are seeing in our middle school. The presentation will also include district data on screen time and introduce the “Wait Until 8th” pledge as a way to support families in navigating device use. Parents will leave with practical strategies for creating healthy, balanced screen time routines for elementary-aged children. This session is geared towards grades K-5 and is being held in-person with the option to join virtually.
