Guidelines for Logbook Entries:

• Feel free to post questions regarding policies, procedures, patron, or other fulfillment related concerns; if patron’s personal information is needed, please only include their library card number and contact info if available

  • • • • e.g. book turned in without barcode, temporary holds, patron has an issue that can be fixed

• Or log an entry if there is something you would like to warn other shifts about

  • • • • e.g. WIFI or printing issues throughout library,  circulation equipment issues, out of service elevators

Please Don't...

• Post a patron's personal information (name, phone number)  Only their ID/ email if absolutely necessary and in the "Patron contact info" tab

• Use the log book as a place to collect patron complaints; if we can't do anything about it it then we shouldn't log it (temperature, library hours, lending policies)
