About Me

Hello! My name is Gina Marwick, and I've been running the College & Career Center at Benicia High since the 2018-2019 school year.  I have a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development focused on American Multicultural Studies from Sonoma State University. After graduating, I spent most of my career as a Health Educator writing print materials, curricula, and teaching classes. I am a BHS alumn, and I love helping students at my alma mater!

I'm currently attending Grand Canyon University in the School Counseling Master's program because I want to expand my role in helping students find their own level of success. I love creating strong bonds with students and preparing them for the world. Given that my children are teenagers, I have the perspective of both a school counselor and a parent, so I am especially equipped to help families with communication and finding school success. I am also a passionate advocate for the LQBTQIA+ community and equity work at our schools.

In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, meditating, watching documentaries, listening to podcasts, cooking, baking, reading, and everything Disney.
