Octagons

In the Octagons group we are learning to:

• know place value of decimals, tenths, hundredths, thousandths.
• count forwards and backwards in 10ths, 100ths, 1000ths.
• Know conversions between decimals, fractions and % with ½, ¼, 1/3, 1/5, 1/10
• Use a range of strategies for multiplication - place value, doubling and halving, compensation

Week 9 - Learning about Time

The Octagons are learning to: recognise and know time with analogue and digital clocks - including 1 and 5 minute intervals

know seconds, minutes, hours , days, weeks - be able to solve word problems involving time

Warm up by matching equivalent fractions with Maths playground

Add decimals to solve the puzzle - Number Conundrum decimals

Work with the teacher learning about improper fractions.
