Ethical Standards(HIPAA/FERPA): These standards are required by federal law to be followed by all professionals who receive confidential information regarding an individuals Medical or Educational information.

Quick Tips on HIPAA/FERPA:

• ANY information about a client MUST remain confidential.
• ONLY share information with TEAM members. Consult with the assigned Behavior Analyst to determine WHO is on the team.
• Client files/information MUST be secured.
• DO NOT disclose the families name, address, services, or ANY information to ANYONE that is NOT on the TEAM
• Any email/text transmission referring to a client should remain confidential and not include a client's full name. Please, refer to client's with their initials only.

Professional Standards: Behavior Interventions encourages all team members to promote professional behaviors while providing services and have developed a list of professional standards we recommend for employees and subcontractors.

• Arrive and leave on time.
• Dress appropriately.
• Refrain from cellphone use during your session.
• If you are running 10 minutes late or more place a courtesy call to the family/school.
• Call or text Behavior Analyst when there is any cancellation.
• Consult the Behavior Analyst prior to making any schedule changes with school personnel or family.
• Always present yourself with the utmost confidence in front of administrators, teachers, and parents. If you are unsure of how to proceed ask a Behavior Analyst in privacy.
• Provide one phone call/email/text message to the Behavior Analyst when there are questions and concerns. The Behavior Analyst returns calls within 24 hours unless there are extenuating circumstances.
• Maintain professional boundaries with administrators, teachers, and parents.
• Refer parent or school personnel questions and/or concerns to the supervising Behavior Analyst
• Be conscientious of prior obligations or scheduling conflicts when picking up cases. Cases are ongoing unless noted otherwise. Be sure to google distance of case locations and ask any pertinent questions or concerns prior to accepting a case.
• Agree to cases that you are sure you are able to fulfill hours/commitment
• Notify the Behavior Analyst assigned to your case when you can foresee an absence or have planned vacation, so substitute staff can be identified.
• Provide adequate notice to transition off cases. We prefer 2 weeks notice in order to transition new staff onto case. Abruptly stopping cases will cause a delay in services for clients.
• When transitioning off a case all of the clients materials must be returned to the supervising analyst in a timely manner preferably by the last session. This includes any materials that are property of Behavior Interventions (i.e. client binders, data, ect).
• Submit your billing and session notes by their due date, this will ensure your payment processes on time.
• Complete session notes neatly, with clinically appropriate terms, and objective language
• Be responsive to emails from analysts and administration and diligent about submitting and renewing updated clearances and paperwork requirements.

How do RBTs know what cases are available?

• RBTs have access to a full list of open cases on open cases site page (available once all clearances are processed)
• RBTs receive email notification weekly with open cases
• RBTs can elect to enroll in SMS (text message alerts) for urgent openings
• RBTs may be contacted directly by Staffing Manager or Behavior Analyst with case referrals

How do RBTs inquire about open cases?

• RBTs submit our case interest form noting their interest in particular cases and their availability to take on the session hours (available once all clearances are processed)

Is there a minimum or maximum amount of hours I need to work?

• No, our RBTs have the ability to build their own case-load. Behavior Interventions does encourage team members to build a larger caseload by offering additional benefits such as a larger annual bonus along with medical and dental coverage the more hours you work.

How do RBTs know if they meet qualifications?

• Qualifications for cases are listed for each case referral. Providers may require a specific level of education, experience or even credential.

How do RBTs know the compensation for cases?

• RBTs start at $25.50 hour for billable (treatment sessions)
• RBTs are eligible to pick up PCA/BT (entry level) cases at the rate listed on our open cases page. These cases compensate $17-$20/hour. Hours worked on entry level cases do not count towards the hours required to receive benefit premium coverage

Our Behavior Analyst positions are full-time salaried position that typically start with team members taking on an hourly role until a full case-load is built up.

How do BCBAs know what cases are available to them?

• Your supervisor may reach out an assign transfer cases to you. These cases are being transfered from another team member to you so programs and staff may already be in place
• Our Admissions team that handles processing of incoming families contacts staff and inquires availability in your schedule to take on new families. They take in to account your location as well as the providers you are approved to work with when reaching out to confirm you for a new case.

What can I do to help build my case-load quickly?

Several factors effect your ability to build your caseload: meeting state licensing standards, submission of all employment documents (clearances/credentials) and your approval with our providers.

2. Complete any state licensing requirements ASAP

Payment Schedule:

• Employee payroll is made on a monthly basis.
  • *Expedited payments are available on a case by case basis
• Payroll payments are set to process when the following has been completed:
  • Monthly Billing Paperwork is submitted electronically by the due date.
  • Original Session Notes and Monthly Billing Paperwork are received by the due date. (In Fall of 2018 staff begin using 100% online session note submission)
  • Any additional provider requirements are submitted by their due dates.
