March/April 2024

In Kindergarten students students have been reading lots of books about characters who use creative thinking when solving problems. Students are getting ready to complete and Oops Project where they will demonstrate their own creative thinking skills.

In first grade students are learning about positional phrases and words in order to solve logic puzzles. Students are also working to create their own puzzles.

In second grade small groups of students have been working on coding. In whole group instruction we've been focusing on listening skills in order to increase creative and critical thinking.

In third grade students students are learning about thinking problems. Students learned the history of the Nine Dot problem and are now working to solve and create different types of thinking problems.

Noetic Math Competition

Several students in grades 2 and 3 are participating in the Noetic Math Competition this month. The contest encourages students to use critical thinking skills when solving math problems. Good luck to all our students!
