Reflection:

At first, this project was a disaster. I had not been fully prepared to present, and had half bummed it the night before it was due. Halfway through my presentation, I broke down and had no idea what to do. My teacher talked to me about how I could revise my crummy presentation, for 70% of the full grade. I would take this anyday over a 50% or less. I am so grateful that my teacher let me redo the presentation. This time I was more prepared and did pretty well. With 6 slides full of words of a language I still did not fully understand, I did my best and got through it. I will never forget this awesome act of gratitude and hospitality. I wish all teachers and staff alike stood for this type of behavior towards students. My teacher never had to do this for me. I was wrong in not getting the work done. I have always had a problem with procrastination, and I still do. I am trying to get better, but it is very difficult to do so in a world with so many distractions.

After doing some real research on Peru, I got a chance to recognize the people of Peru’s perspectives, customs, and beliefs. I learned so much about the Peruvian people that I would have never experienced if it weren't for my teacher's generous gift.
