This week, I worked on one last grilled cheese recipe by Ina Garten. In Ina's recipe, she includes some different ingredients such as bacon, gruyere cheese, cheddar cheese, and a sauce in the middle. The sauce includes Parmesan cheese, dijon mustard, mayo, salt, and pepper. She says that the bacon adds a lot of flavor to the grilled cheese and that is why she adds it.
Next week, we don't have anything to review but I really love cooking and reviewing recipes, so I plan on doing that in the future with different food items.
My goal this week was to try a grilled cheese recipe that included some sort of protein. I did accomplish that goal by being able to make a recipe with bacon. Not only did it just have bacon, but it also had a sauce and a unique cheese I have never heard of. An obstacle that I ran into this week was that I had to get a lot of ingredients from the store that I did not have. It took a lot of time, but I was able to make it work and had time to do it. This grilled cheese was definitely different and was really almost like an "adult" grilled cheese. I feel like regular grilled cheeses are pretty basic and have just American cheese. This one was cool to try because it was different from the basic grilled cheese. Overall, this week I would rate it a 7/10. I personally do not really prefer all the extra things that Ida included, but it was nice to try. I did accomplish my overall goal again which is to enjoy what I am doing and make others happy. It was nice to be able to get the ingredients with my dad and he helped a little.
