This week, I worked on another grilled cheese recipe by Robert Irvine. In Robert's recipe, he included 3 different types of cheeses which were, provolone, cheddar, and pepper jack. All of these cheeses were shredded. He also put down some butter and in addition some grapeseed oil on the pan before cooking the sandwich. He says he used grapeseed oil because you can have a nice crusty sear on the sandwich faster than regular oil.
Next week, I plan on trying to make another grilled recipe by a different chef or celeb. I really would like to try a grilled cheese that has some bacon or a different protein in addition to cheese. I will again taste and review it by saying what can be done better.
My goal this week was to try a recipe that had multiple kinds of cheese rather than just 1 or 2. I did accomplish that goal because I was able to review a grilled cheese that had 3 different types of cheeses. An obstacle that I ran into this week is that I had asked my mom to grab some pepper jack cheese because we did not have any, and I completely forgot to ask her to grab grapeseed oil. Luckily, olive oil is a great replacement for this and I was able to replace it with that. I was definitely disappointed that I forgot to ask her for it because I wanted to make the recipe exactly how he did it. This grilled cheese still tasted amazing. I would rate it a 10/10. I would for sure eat this again and it had so much depth to the sandwich with there being many so many kinds of cheese. My dad tried a bite and really liked it. My main goal for this whole project is to make others happy with the food I make and I did that again this week.
