This week, I began a new food to start reviewing and made a grilled cheese recipe. I worked on creating Martha Stewart's take on a grilled cheese sandwich. Martha included a mixture of mayo and butter to cook the bread. She also included cheddar cheese and American cheese. Martha explains, "[Mayo has] supposedly fewer calories, and it's very tasty, and the bread doesn't burn." This was the case.
Next week, I plan on making another grilled cheese recipe by a different celebrity and saying what parts of the sandwich I liked and did not like. I also plan on picking a recipe that is unique and maybe includes protein and not just cheese.
My goal this week was to start making new food and see the different aspects of the new food to review. I did accomplish that this week. A problem that I ran into was the bread was not really browning that fast. She said to cook it for 7-8 minutes but I just cranked the heat up and it did just fine. This week I rated the grilled cheese an 8.5/10. I thought that it was pretty basic. The butter + mayo was a good addition to make it crispier. I would have liked to see more unique cheeses in the recipe. This week, I wanted to make others happy with the product I created. It did not have to be chocolate chip cookies this time, but with something more savory. My mom tried a bite and loved it! It made me feel good that she liked it.
