This week, I worked on another chocolate chip cookie recipe by Duff Goldman. His recipe included some of the key ingredients in a chocolate chip cookie. He included the two sugars, brown and white, butter, eggs, vanilla, flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips. He explains, "You'll probably eat them all before they cool because they're so good."
Next week, I plan on working on my final chocolate chip cookie recipe for this review. In 2 weeks, I will move on to grilled cheeses. In this last celebrity, I really want to find someone who really has unique ingredients and will not care so much about baking a classic cookie.
This week's recipe was really classic. I was putting together the ingredients and thought... "Wait, this kind of seems like the original Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie recipe." I looked at the back of the chocolate chips which I was using and I was right. Duff's recipe was the exact same as the Toll House one. This was really disappointing to me because I always am in awe of Duff's skills in baking and what he can do. He could have come up with his own recipe instead of using someone else's. He also did not even include the cooking time in the recipe online. As far as the taste goes, these are by far the best cookies. They have the classic taste and the perfect amount of everything. I rated them a 10/10. Although I was disappointed at Duff, these cookies will always be one of my favorite chocolate chip cookies to eat.
