This week, I worked on a chocolate chip cookie recipe by Gordon Ramsey. He used a unique way of making the cookies by melting the butter and not just softening the butter. He explains, "Typically, melting the butter causes the cookies to spread too much but in this recipe, the melted butter works! I promise!"
Next week, I plan on picking a different chocolate chip cookie recipe and rating/saying what could be done to improve the recipe. I also want to try chocolate chip cookie recipes that may not be the easiest to bake and that are more challenging.
Yes, I did accomplish my goal this week. I was able to create a new recipe from a new celeb and rank how I thought the cookie was. A small obstacle I had with this recipe it I had to split it into 1/3 and it made the measurements different since I only wanted 1 dozen. I did work around this though. I rated it an 8/10 because it did need a little more salt and it also needed more brown sugar. The cookies were nothing special. My family really enjoyed eating these and so did I. It makes me look forward to doing something fun every week.
