Freshman Year World History is a class I will never forget. This class was not like any class I have taken ever. In my class there were around 20 kids, but with COVID year, there were rarely more than 10 students in the class. I was one of the “regulars”, for some reason I never enjoyed virtual learning, and always preferred to go to class. So I was one of the lucky ones, because I was there for pretty much every class, all year with Mr. Marlett. I enjoyed so many activities in his class, and learning about history was so much easier. I never was good at history, nor did I have any interest in history, until I met Mr.Marlett. He showed not only me, but everyone that History can be fun to learn about it, if you get involved. My favorite section was when we learned about Napoleon, because this was Mr. Marletts favorite, so this resulted in him going all out. He had scavenger hunts, games, and clues that had been hidden around the class for months without someone noticing. I choose the Napoleon wrap up questions, because it reminds me of how I enjoyed a History class like I never had before.
