In JAGS I met most of my friends that I have had since freshman year. All of them were in cross country, and because of that I decided to join. I had a love and hate relationship with this sport. I loved the friends, but the sport itself and the drama was too much to handle. I learned so much about myself and about my “friends” during this time, and I believe that this sport led me to being even closer to one of my best friends. I always tried my hardest in cross country, but there were always people who were better. It taught me resilience and determination, and I will forever be grateful for that experience.
