This was a year long project cut in two parts, first half of the year was spent figuring out what house you wanted to build and then drawing it in AutoCAD. And the second half of the year was dedicated to the building of your model house. I chose to build my great aunt Mary’s house. The overall process was pretty simple however, since I chose to do my aunts house that is almost 100 years old I had no floor plans or dimensions, everything was just based off my memory, meaning I had to estimate all of the dimensions. Despite that the project was actually really rewarding, as architecture is something I would like to pursue in the future, having a little taste of it in high school definitely has increased my interest in that field.
