In this project I was to identify the different comments about or towards women throughout Great Gatsby. The Great Gatsby was an interesting book to read especially when it comes to looking at women. I created a collage to represent the prompt. I wanted to try and show the story of each of the women I chose to talk about. For me personally I do think I did this well but for my explanations I think I was lacking. Looking at it from a point of view of someone who didn’t make the collage it could be a bit confusing. However the caoticness of the collage reflects the life’s of the characters throughout the book.

The idea of mosogony in literature is an interesting one to unfold especially when considering the influence of early American literature. Looking at the Great Gatsby, it is a reflection of the time period in which the book was written. The ideas and attitudes towards women follow as such, with the idea of women being less than men.
