This week marked a wonderful close to Module 2, as we wrapped up our inquiry into the Arts with a creative and exciting project. The children have been busy bringing stories to life by designing and creating their very own puppets of the Red Crayon, inspired by The Day the Crayons Quit. They showed fantastic perseverance and creativity while cutting, sewing, and designing their characters. We were so impressed with the care they took and the pride they showed in their finished puppets.
This week also included a very special festive experience. The children visited Invicta Care Home, where they sang Christmas songs to a room full of delighted residents. They also created and shared beautiful Christmas messages, which were warmly received and clearly brought a lot of joy and smiles. The children represented the school wonderfully, and we were incredibly proud of them all. Back at school, the children also enjoyed a pantomime, filled with laughter, excitement, singing and festive cheer.
Alongside this, we’ve enjoyed lots of Christmas fun in class, with excitement and festive cheer filling the room all week. It has truly been a lovely and memorable end to Module 2, celebrating creativity, confidence, and community. We would like to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas— We hope you enjoy plenty of rest, happiness, and special moments together over the break.
