It has been a whirlwind of Christmas excitement in Reception this week! We kicked things off with a collaborative art project, working together to create a vibrant, large-scale rainbow. This beautiful piece was designed to welcome everyone into our academy, and you can see it proudly displayed by the school office, just outside Scotney Class. The magic moved up a gear on Tuesday afternoon with a special pantomime visit. The children had a wonderful time singing nursery rhymes with the Christmas Tree Fairy, and the room was filled with gasps of joy when Santa himself made a surprise appearance!
The holiday spirit continued on Thursday with our Christmas Craft Day. The classroom was a hive of activity as the children crafted handmade ornaments, mixed up "magic" reindeer food, and enjoyed some creative biscuit decorating. We were so impressed by their creativity, they couldn't wait for them to bring their treasures home!
Finally, we want to share a huge thank you to Evie’s grandad. He kindly built and donated a fantastic mud kitchen for our outdoor learning area. We are so grateful for this addition to our school and can’t wait to start cooking up some "mud treats" very soon!
