The children took part in two Create Days.
During this we had a visitor from a graffiti artist who helped us design and create a vinyl to display in our school.
We also helped weave a huge badger on the field using willow. After we were set a challenge to create a pyramid big enough for everyone to fit into. It took a lot of team work, but we finally achieved it!
Each class created their own school stomp routine using classroom objects and body percussion to make rhythms.
We had a whole day of Ancient Egypt history!
During the day we learnt about mummification. We followed the steps to mummify an orange and wrote the instructions of how to mummify a body.
We worked in groups to record a documentary about our topic. We used our facts that we have learnt over the term and our research from sources to create a script.
Finally, we learnt about papyrus paper that was used for hieroglyphics.
We used clay to make Ancient Egyptian canopic jars.
We had to mould and attach the clay before using sculpting tools to add the finer details.
We completed 10 fun activities to support Children in Need this included; saying 'ten' in ten different languages, drawing 10 spots with chalk, redesigning the Pudsey logo and we even completed a sponsored skip.
We loved our Christmas dinner!
We had so much fun at our Christmas party. We enjoyed musical statues and bumps, 4 corners and splat the most. Thank you Santa for our gifts!
Royal High School Bath visited us to teach us about Chinese New Year.
We watched a shadow puppet show, listened to stories, designed a mask and learnt how to write 'luck' in Chinese.
Thank you FBR, we had so much fun at the disco!
We enjoyed doing lots of fun maths activities to help raise awareness of NSPCC charity.
We had a special NSPCC assembly to learn about the charity, the types of abuse and who we can talk to.
We had so much fun visiting the cinema to watch Sloth Lane for our Movie Mayhem topic.
We've used our trip to write our own diaries in English.
We looked at what mental health is and ways to support our own mental health.
We created a 'Cup of Positivity' with comments and photos and made our own positive affirmation cards.
We really enjoyed all the sports day activities. Our favourites were the hurdles, sprints and corn hole.
During Survival Day we used team work skills to complete a range of tasks including filtering water, toasting marshmallows, using map skills to locate different clues and writing in morse code.
