Meet The Teacher
My name is Miss Swanson and I am so excited to be teaching 2nd Grade at Beach Haven School!
I spent my summers growing up in Beach Haven and I have lived here full time for the last five years. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Family Science & Human Development and a certification in Elementary Education at Montclair State University. I was a substitute teacher at Beach Haven School since 2022. Then, I officially joined our amazing staff as a 2nd grade teacher in 2024!
When I am not in the classroom, you can typically find me reading the latest #1 book seller on the beach, going to get ice cream, spending time with my family, or making a shopping run to Target!
WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2ND GRADE
A typical day in 2nd grade would consist of fun learning, innocent laughter, memories blossoming, and little minds growing! I love to do team-building exercises, creative projects, individual and partner work, and outdoor activities! We love to utilize our local community and go on field trips as well.
Always try your best and work hard in the classroom! Not only will you learn from me, but I will have the chance to learn from you too! I look forward to a wonderful year together in 2nd grade!
