Need Help with Resources?
Please see the flier on the left hand side of the page that lists local resources and digital learning enrichment. Not seeing what you are looking for?
Please reach out to Ms. Sanchez or I and we can make referrals virtually through NCCARE360.
NCCARE360 is the first statewide network that unites health care and human services organizations with a shared technology that enables a coordinated, community-oriented, person-centered approach for delivering care in North Carolina. NCCARE360 helps providers electronically connect those with identified needs to community resources and allow for feedback and follow up. This solution ensures accountability for services delivered, provides a “no wrong door” approach, closes the loop on every referral made, and reports outcomes of that connection. NCCARE360 will be available in all 100 counties by the end of 2020, statewide in North Carolina.
Take Care of Yourself!
We know there are a lot of unknowns these next few weeks. The video posted to your left has a guided deep breathing exercise. Deep breathing can help reduce anxiety and create a sense of calm.
Here are some self care ideas that you can engage in even while you are practicing social isolation:
Get plenty of rest. Keep a regular bedtime.
Go outside! You can walk around your neighborhood or hang out in your back yard.
Exercise - Youtube has many online movement options available for people of all ages!
Come up with a daily schedule for yourself to keep a routine. Make sure that school work is a part of that schedule.
Schedule time in the day to do something that your enjoy such as reading a book, baking, creating art, or calling a friend.
Find activities that you can do together as a family, such as a family movie or board game night, working on a puzzle, or cooking and enjoying a meal together.
Social media at this time can be a lifeline, but make sure you are engaging in a healthy way.
