Contact with the NCVPS teacher is very important to success in NCVPS courses.
Students are required to have contact with their NCVPS teacher at least once every two weeks throughout the semester. Contact may be made via phone call, text message, email or Canvas message. Contact may be made more often if needed to ensure student success. Teacher contact information can be found in the Meet Your Teacher section of every NCVPS course.
Parents/Guardians are required to have contact with the teacher of their student’s NCVPS course once every four weeks throughout the semester [more often during summer courses]. The teacher will oftentimes reach out first and ask for a response. Contact may be made via phone call, text message, email or Canvas message.
Dropping an NCVPS Course
Once enrolled in an NCVPS course, students have until the NCVPS add/drop date to remove the course from their schedule (see NCVPS Calendar). After the NCVPS add/drop date has passed, students must complete the course. Dropping an NCVPS course after the add/drop date will result in a grade of "F" on the student’s high school transcript. This is the case even if the student withdraws from the course with NCVPS.
*Students who do not successfully complete an NCVPS course on their first attempt are no longer eligible to retake the same NCVPS course.
NCVPS Final Exams
