TOOLBOX™ is a district approved research based (SEL) program for K-6th grade. The program is designed to strengthen a students' capacity for self-mastery, resilience and empathy for themselves and others. The Toolbox program is used district wide for all elementary teachers (K-6). Training is available by request (contact your assigned MTSS Coach) or watch training videos below.
Every Tuesday is designed as "Toolbox Tuesday." If you follow our daily SEL lessons you will find that Toolbox is already embedded. We encourage you to teach the tools on Tuesdays and reinforce them daily during your student interactions.
Toolbox was chosen by our very own BCSD teachers! It's a simple and practical program that supports SEL through the use of 12 innate "Tools." Access the resources below to get started on supporting your students on using the Tools to navigate the challenges and complexities of their life.
Access our full Toolbox lessons here. Each Tool has a 4 day lesson to fit in a 15 minute SEL time block.
Access our Toolbox slide deck to help introduce tools to your students. Engage your classroom with videos, visuals and a writing journal to reflect on each individual tool.
All BCSD teachers have access to TOOLBOX curriculum. You may access the portal link below for virtual resources or fill out our materials request form to have material shipped directly to you!
Watch our own BCSD teachers and students talk about Toolbox!
