The TOOLBOX program teaches students 12 key social and emotional skills, such as breathing, empathy, and forgiveness. It takes a strength-based approach that builds on students’ inner capacities like resilience and self-control. The program promotes a shared language and consistent practices across classrooms, schools, and homes to support student well-being and positive relationships.
This session explains how children’s actions often stem from unmet needs or emotions and outlines fifteen key developmental needs, including belonging, safety, and curiosity. It encourages educators to approach behavior with understanding, assume positive intent, and respond thoughtfully rather than react. The overall goal is to replace punishment-based discipline with proactive, skill-building strategies that support healthy development and positive behavior in schools.
This session focuses on six key social-emotional life skills: Attachment, Belonging, Self-Regulation, Collaboration, Contribution, and Adaptability. Using a strength-based approach, it provides practical strategies, classroom-tested activities, and reflective questions to help educators support social-emotional growth and manage challenging behaviors effectively.
