Second Step is a district approved research based (SEL) program for Middle Schools. The program is research-based, teacher-informed, and classroom-tested to promote the social-emotional development, safety, and well-being of children from Early Learning through Grade 8. 

Second Step is an online platform that allows teachers to provide SEL lessons virtually or in person. You are free to navigate an online training via the Second Step portal or access our training resources below. 

Every Tuesday is designed as "Second Step Tuesday." If you follow our middle school daily SEL lessons you will find that Second Step is already embedded. We encourage you to reinforce the skills daily during your student interactions.
