The Scientific Method: A process scientists use to solve problems and answer questions.

• Purpose: The p
• roblem you need to solve or question you are asking.Research/Observe: Find out as much as you can about your purpose.
• Hypothesis: Predict the answer to your purpose/problem using what you learned in your research.
• Experiment: Test the h
• ypothesis making sure that you have good variables, control groups, and multiple trials. Remember, once might be a fluke but seeing the same result 10 times is more reliable.
• Data/Analysis: Collect your observations and measur
• ements. Organize them into easy to read tables, graphs and charts.
• Conclusion: Was your hypothesis correct? What errors might there be? If you were wrong, what else could you test?
