The primary goal of Bates Leads is to develop, implement and assess a framework for all leadership development at Bates.  This framework will guide student leadership programs to share similar learning objectives and values, resulting in clarity, consistent quality, and the ability to assess effectiveness. As a result, student experiences at Bates should feel connected and install a sense of common purpose. We intend to have a comprehensive and cohesive leadership development program that is aligned with best practices, is grounded in equity and inclusion, and advances Bates’ commitment to educating the whole person.
