Jazz Band

The Broughal Rocket Jazz Band is open to students who play a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument.  The Jazz Band will rehearse from 7:00 AM to 8:05 AM, every Monday and most Wednesdays, during extended homeroom (8:00 AM to 8:45 AM).

The Broughal Blues Jazz Band performs at numerous community events, school assemblies, annual concerts, and competitions including Music in the Parks - a competitive music festival held in the Spring at amusement parks across the country.  Throughout the year, students will learn about jazz theory, form, and improvisation as they continue to develop proper performance technique and musicianship on their instruments.
