Jazz Band

The Broughal Blues Jazz Band is open to students who play a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument and have successfully completed an audition during Summer Music Camp. Once the roster is set, the Jazz Band will rehearse from 7:00 AM to 8:05 AM, every Day 1.  

The Broughal Blues Jazz Band performs at numerous community events, school assemblies, annual concerts, and competitions including Music in the Parks - a competitive music festival held in the Spring at amusement parks across the country.  Throughout the year, students will learn about jazz theory, form, and improvisation as they continue to develop proper performance technique and musicianship on their instruments.
