Membership is open to all middle school students who play a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument. Rehearsals are held every Wednesday and Friday, 7:00 - 7:55 AM.  This ensemble begins practice in Summer Music Camp and continues through November 11.  The marching band normally performs in numerous Fall performances and a few Spring performances, including the Spring Trip performance in May.  The Marching Band is also featured in school functions, including pep rallies and athletic events.  Beginning November 11, due to weather conditions, the students in marching band will rehearse either indoors as a concert band.  The concert band normally performs at the Spring Concert and various other community performances and assemblies.

Anyone in grades 6, 7, or 8 is eligible to become a member of the Majorettes or Honor Guard.  Sign-ups and/or auditions are held each Spring.  Rehearsals are held every Wednesday and Friday, 7:00 - 7:55 AM, along with extra morning rehearsals as needed.  The Band Front begins practice in Summer Music Camp and continues through November 11.  The Band Front normally performs in numerous Fall performances and a few Spring performances, including the Spring Trip performance in May.  The Band Front is also featured in school functions, including pep rallies and athletic events.  Contact Mrs. Truchan or Mr. Stoltz for more details.  Orchestra and/or Southside Singers members not participating in Band are encouraged to join the Band Front.

Membership is open to all qualifying middle school students.  This ensemble begins practice during Summer Music Camp and continues throughout the school year.  Rehearsals are held every Monday, 7:00 - 7:55 AM, and most Wednesdays, during extended homeroom (8:00 AM to 8:45 AM).  The jazz band performs at concerts, local festivals, and school functions, including the Moving Up Ceremony at the end of the school year.  They are also featured in the annual Spring Trip.  Other events may include community performances, assemblies, fundraisers, and athletic events.

Membership is open to all middle school students who play a string instrument.  This ensemble begins practice during the Summer and continues throughout the school year.  Rehearsals are held every Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00 - 7:55 AM.  During the Fall semester, the orchestra normally rehearses and performs at the Winter Concert as a String Orchestra accompanied by percussion.  In the Spring semester, the orchestra may rehearse and perform at the Spring Concert as a Full Orchestra, accompanied by select winds and percussion.  Both orchestras perform at concerts, school functions, athletic events, and community events.  They are also featured in the annual Spring Trip.
