Supervision & Evaluation

All educators in Bellefonte Area School District participate in a structured supervision and evaluation process aligned with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) guidelines. While your building supervisor will provide specific details and support throughout the year, we’ve included key information here to help you understand the overall process.

PAETEP Platform

Bellefonte utilizes the PAETEP system for all formal observations, evaluations, and Student Performance Measures (SPMs). You’ll receive training on how to access and use this platform if you haven’t already used it in a previous role. Click on the button below to visit the PAETEP site.

Timelines & Expectations

We’ve embedded a Supervision and SPM/Goal Checklist below that outlines important dates, responsibilities, and observation requirements based on your certification status (non-tenured, tenured Instructional I, or Instructional II). This document also includes guidance for non-teaching professionals such as school counselors and psychologists.

Evaluation Frameworks

Pennsylvania uses role-specific evaluation frameworks aligned to the Danielson Framework for Teaching and other appropriate models.
