Join us on a journey where chocolate meets culture. See what we’ve already achieved and what’s still ahead!
Barry Callebaut SSC has officially become the sponsor of Kyan the elephant from Łódź Zoo!
What’s more, we supported the Orientarium with essential equipment for the elephant house: sprinklers to help the elephants cool off on hot days, a specialized wheelbarrow and hay winches, and - wait for it - something for a home-style spa! Hoof trimming discs for elephant pedicures!
In collaboration with the City Hall and the Urban Forms Foundation, a local Łódź artist created a mural on the wall of a tenement house at 58 Jaracza Street.
The artwork shows an African cocoa plantation and delights passersby with its design.
Its aim is to draw attention to the ethical side of the chocolate industry.
Łódź is famous for its murals and is a multicultural city, which is why we chose this original way to share our passion for cocoa and chocolate.
We support young talents by collaborating with Młodzi w Łodzi (Youth in Łódź).
It's a City Hall program for students and graduates.
Together, we’ve launched a variety of exciting initiatives. As part of this partnership, we organize our Summer Internship Program, giving young people the opportunity to take their first steps into the professional world.
For two years, we’ve also proudly funded scholarships for talented students, because we believe in investing in the future of our industry and our community.
Proud to be a Friendly Workplace – again!
For yet another year, Barry Callebaut Łódź has been recognized as a Friendly Workplace 2025. This award reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive, and engaging work environment where people feel valued and empowered. We believe that a great workplace is built on trust, collaboration, and a shared passion for what we do – and we’re proud to keep raising the bar.
Thanks to Barry Callebaut, three large insect hotels (habitats) have been created in three major locations in Łódź (Górka Widzewska, Stawy Stefańskiego, Młynek).
Insect hotels (habitats) are a great way to help beneficial insects survive the cold winter months, while also providing them with a safe space to reproduce.
We care deeply about environmental initiatives that support biodiversity, creating spaces where people, animals, and plants can thrive together in harmony.
A local artist, Gouda Works, has created a unique illustration for Barry Callebaut, depicting our chocolate factory with pipes overflowing with rich chocolate, seamlessly blending iconic landmarks of Łódź.
This artwork symbolizes how deeply we’ve grown into the fabric of the city - we’re not just located in Łódź, we’re part of it.
To celebrate this collaboration and our connection to the city, employees received hoodies featuring this special design.
