Barry Callebaut, headquartered in Switzerland, is the world’s leading manufacturer of chocolate and cocoa products.
The company was established in 1996 through the merger of Belgian chocolate producer Callebaut and French company Cacao Barry. We specialize in sourcing and processing cocoa beans, as well as producing premium chocolate products – including fillings and decorations.
We operate over 50 modern production facilities worldwide and sell our products in more than 100 countries.
Our factory in Łódź produces one of the world’s favorite treats – chocolate in both liquid and solid form. It is the second-largest Barry Callebaut facility in Europe.
In 2015, Barry Callebaut established a Shared Services Center (SSC) in Łódź, which quickly became an integral part of the Group and a key support hub for functions such as Finance, IT, Master Data, Customer Service, HR, Quality Control, Audit, and Logistics. Since 2024, the Łódź center has evolved into a Global Business Services (GBS) organization, continuing to grow and expand the scope of services delivered to Barry Callebaut entities across four continents.
