Group Accident and Critical Illness

Both benefits are available through The Hartford and can potentially pay you a lump sum of money depending on your situation. Effective 1/1/2018, any claims paid to you may be taxable by the IRS and you may receive a form 1099.

Under Group Accident, you could be paid for a non-work related accidental injury.

Under Group Critical Illness, you could be paid for a serious illness diagnosis such as a heart attack, seizure, or stroke.
