Shaner Report

Introduction

The Shaner  or Lutinious Satinousis an underwater apex predator in Planet X's waters, it classifies as a fish. The Shaner has one magnificent adaptation: it has gills that release poisonous gas when threatened. 

Adaptations / Appearance

The Shaner has magnificent adaptations that includes: Ice on back to camouflage and creep up on prey, sharp teeth to attack prey, a narwhal like horn to stab prey, gills that release poisonous gas when threatened to dry up the prey’s throat and choke, deadly poisonous spikes to fend off and attack prey and a thick layer of blubber. The Shaner has light blue eyes for excellent sight, grey body to camouflage with dark waters at night, underwater caves and when under ice/ icebergs. The Shaner is 6m long and 2.4m high when fully grown. 

Diet / Nutrition

The Shaner is an apex predator so it actively hunts for prey.The Shaner has a lot of sharp teeth to attack and chew on their prey. The Shaner eats, fish, sharks, seals, sea lions and other underwater creatures around its habitat. The Shaner uses its super speed and its sharp teeth to attack prey. 

Habitat

The Shaner is an underwater creature. It lives in underwater caves, under ice and in dark and icy waters. The Shaner doesn’t have a specific home. The Shaner just roams around looking for prey. The Shaner has a thick layer of blubber to survive cold and icy waters that is -25 degrees in winter and -10 degrees in summer.

Reproduction

The Shaner has a population of  approximately 2,000 left in the waters of Planet X. The Shaner gives birth to live young and has a maximum of 3 times litter and gives birth 2 times every year. The Shaners babies protect themselves when they are a month old. The life span of a Shaner is 70-80 years old.
